Bonzie Colson is returning to Maccabi Tel Aviv. According to Arel Ginsber, the American forward has signed a two-year deal with the Israeli club.

Colson previously spent two seasons with Maccabi and now returns to Tel Aviv after two years away. Last season, he played for Fenerbahce, averaging 7.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game in EuroLeague while shooting 48.5% from three.

It is a major addition for Maccabi’s forward rotation, with Colson joining Jaylen Hoard and Oshae Brissett in what looks like a very strong frontcourt group.

Shavon Shields’ future is expected to be with Fenerbahce. After several flirtations in past summers, the Danish forward’s path now appears to be heading definitively toward Turkey.

According to Turkish journalist Anil Uysal, the agreement has been reached on a two-year basis. At 32, after his birthday on June 5, Shields would land the last major contract of his career and the chance to return to the EuroLeague Final Four after six years.

His departure would come after the historic Italian treble just completed: Supercoppa, Coppa Italia and Scudetto. A winning exit, but also the end of one of the most important cycles in modern Olimpia history.

Manisa Sign Former Lottery Pick Johnny Davis

 Turkish club Manisa, a team that has recently brought several interesting talents to Europe,  announced the signing of former NBA lottery pick Johnny Davis.

The guard, selected 10th overall by the Washington Wizards in the 2022 NBA Draft, has been out of the league since February 2025, when he was waived by the Memphis Grizzlies shortly after arriving from Washington in the trade involving Marcus Smart.

Davis spent the 2025/26 season in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd, averaging 15.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.3 steals per game.

Still only 24 years old, the former Wisconsin standout has time to rebuild a career that has so far fallen short of expectations.
