Matthew Strazel is set to continue his career in Turkey, choosing Anadolu Efes and ending one of Olimpia Milano’s summer market tracks.
Matthew Strazel is heading to Anadolu Efes. According to RealOlimpiaMilano, the French guard has agreed to a €4.5 million deal with the Turkish club, while recent rumors about an agreement with Valencia are unfounded.
Strazel had drawn interest from Olimpia Milano, Valencia and, in recent weeks, Zalgiris Kaunas. Efes has also reached an agreement with Monaco, where the player was under contract until 2028: the Turkish side will pay a €500,000 buyout.
Monaco’s financial issues reportedly played a decisive role in the deal, with the club potentially facing EuroLeague exclusion in the coming days. Strazel finished the last EuroLeague season averaging 9.2 points and 3.9 assists per game.
