Monaco players threaten to skip Game 5 against Paris

Tension is rising around AS Monaco ahead of Game 5 of the Betclic ELITE Finals against Paris Basketball.

According to BeBasket, citing L’Équipe and Nice-Matin, part of Monaco’s locker room has threatened not to play the decisive game if Matthew Strazel and Alpha Diallo are suspended by the disciplinary committee.

Both players are under review after the incidents in Game 3, with Strazel ejected following his protests toward referee Mehdi Difallah. Monaco then won Game 4, 96-84, to force the series decider.

The disciplinary decision is expected before the game. Monaco players reportedly view a suspension on the eve of Game 5 as an “automatic condemnation” in the title race.
