Panathinaikos officially announced the signing of Zeljko Obradovic today, and the Greens could already be targeting a major move on the transfer market. According to Sport24, the legendary Serbian coach has contacted Bogdan Bogdanovic in an attempt to bring him to Greece and reunite after their successful time together at Fenerbahce.
Reports suggest that Bogdanovic informed Obradovic that the Los Angeles Clippers are not expected to renew his contract, which would make him an NBA free agent. The Serbian guard is currently waiting to see whether he receives an offer that would allow him to continue his career in the league.
Despite the interest from Panathinaikos, Bogdanovic’s preference is reportedly to remain in the NBA for at least one more season. Reaching a tenth NBA campaign would guarantee lifetime healthcare benefits for both him and his family, making another year in the United States a significant priority.
