Bosnia and Herzegovina face uncertainty over Dzanan Musa ahead of EuroBasket 2025. The player has undergone emergency surgery, according to Radio Sarajevo.
Musa experienced abdominal pain and, following the surgical procedure, one of his agents gave an interview to discuss his condition.
His representative said: “Dzanan has expressed his desire to do everything possible to ensure his recovery and keep the door open for a potential participation in the upcoming EuroBasket, in line with his strong wish to be with the team in Cyprus. In this situation, his presence is certainly uncertain.”
Bosnia will compete in Group C at EuroBasket 2025 and will be one of Italy’s opponents.

A return to Europe is becoming increasingly unlikely for 23-year-old French point guard Killian Hayes, who already has five NBA seasons under his belt.
According to BeBasket, Hayes has rejected multiple offers, including from ASVEL and other Euroleague clubs. Real Madrid and Anadolu Efes reportedly did not move beyond initial exploratory inquiries.
The player remains determined to secure a new home in the NBA and will stay in the United States in hopes of earning a Training Camp invitation.

As reported yesterday, Kai Jones has been invited to the Kaseya Center for a workout with the Miami Heat.
The big man — who, according to some rumors, has a verbal agreement with Virtus Bologna — will remain in Florida at least through Thursday, per Barry Jackson.

“Kai Jones is spending four days working out at Kaseya Center this week as the Heat evaluates whether to sign the veteran power forward/center. One involved source said the Heat long has shown an appreciation for Jones’ skill set but is merely “kicking the tires” to see if signing him would be something worth considering”
The former Texas standout is hoping for another shot in the NBA, and the Heat would indeed be an ideal landing spot given their long track record of reviving careers of undrafted players and former first-round picks under Erik Spoelstra’s guidance.
However, the team’s current salary situation could pose a hurdle. Miami has 14 standard NBA contracts totaling approximately $189.2 million — about $1.6 million above the Luxury Tax threshold. That’s a relatively small gap that could be cleared by moving any player before the trade deadline, but the figure would rise further with another signing.
According to several team reporters, the front office plans to carefully evaluate all options before adding a 15th player to the roster.
With four years of NBA experience, Jones is no longer eligible for a Two-Way contract.

After playing in the NBA Summer League with the Milwaukee Bucks, the rookie power forward chose the France to launch his professional career.
Joplin ended his senior year at Marquette with 14.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game.

Nando De Colo is a true icon of European basketball. The ASVEL Villeurbanne player is now 38 years old and, during an interview with RMC, admitted that this might be his final season as a professional basketball player.
De Colo said: “I am at the end of my contract with ASVEL; I have been with the club for four years now. According to Andrea Calzoni, Virtus Bologna reached a verbal agreement with Kai Jones.
The player has been granted a few more days to pursue opportunities in the NBA, but there is optimism within the “V-Nere” about his arrival in Italy.
Yesterday, we first reported on the ongoing negotiations between Bologna and the former NBA first-round pick. Jones finished last season with the Dallas Mavericks, making the most of a series of frontcourt injuries to produce 11.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in 21 minutes per game, shooting an outstanding 83% from the field.
An elite-level athlete by European standards, coach Dusko Ivanovic could be the right person to put to rest any off-court concerns surrounding him.

Manisa Basket has announced the signing of Isaiah Mobley for the upcoming season.
The brother of Cleveland Cavaliers star Evan Mobley — with whom he shared one season at USC and two in the NBA in Cleveland — will be making his first move to Europe.
Mobley spent the 2024-25 season within the Philadelphia 76ers organization (appearing in just one NBA game), averaging 15.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game in the G League for the Delaware Blue Coats.

According to Backdoor Podcast, Dolomiti Energia Trentino is strongly pursuing Taevion Kinsey to round out the roster for coach Cancellieri.
The 25-year-old guard has spent his first two professional seasons within the Utah Jazz system, appearing in a total of 100 G League games with their affiliate team, the Salt Lake City Stars.

John Brown III is restarting his career in Australia, as an agreement has been reached with the South East Melbourne Phoenix. Four years ago, the player was very close to joining the NBL, but the deal fell through due to bureaucratic issues.

Bahamian big man Kai Jones, a 2021 first-round pick, has resurrected his NBA journey after being waived by the Los Angeles Clippers in March 2025. He signed a two-way contract with the Dallas Mavericks on March 2, 2025. In his debut with Dallas the following day, Jones delivered an impressive performance: 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 block in just one game.
Since joining the Mavericks, he’s emerged as a bright spot in a season plagued by injuries, averaging 14.2 points and 8.6 rebounds.

Partizan Belgrade may have identified an NBA big man to strengthen its center rotation for next season.
According to Sport24.gr, the Serbian club has set its sights on Mo Bamba, a center who could leave the NBA as a free agent and decide to move to the EuroLeague.

A.S. Karditsa Iaponiki has announced the signing of Brandon Jefferson, a 5’9” (1.75 m), 34-year-old American guard who led the French league in scoring in 2021–22 with historic Pau-Orthez and won the Slovenian league and cup double in 2017 with Olimpija Ljubljana.
Jefferson becomes the club’s tenth roster addition ahead of the new season, following the re-signings of Nikos Diplaros, Leonidas Kaselakis, Giorgos Kamperidis, and Noah Horchler, as well as the signings of El Ellis, Damien Jefferson, D’Maggio Wiggins, Giannis Zevgara, and Thomas Zevgara.
Born on November 25, 1991, in Flower Mound, Texas, Jefferson began his collegiate career at Metro State (NCAA Division II) from 2010 to 2014, playing 130 games and averaging 14.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.9 steals. In his senior year, he was named Conference Player of the Year, averaging 21.6 points on 45% shooting from both two and three-point range and 92% from the free-throw line.
He turned pro in 2014 in Finland, finishing as the league’s fourth-leading scorer (18.4 ppg). Edon Maxhuni (6’2”, 27 years old) is heading back to the Côte d’Opale. The Finnish national team point guard, who is set to compete at EuroBasket 2025, has signed a one-year deal with BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque.
Maxhuni is no stranger to the Hauts-de-France region — two years ago, he made a name for himself with Le Portel, averaging 10.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Initially signed as an injury replacement for Benoît Mangin, he impressed so much that he earned a contract extension and helped guide the team to a historic season, securing both a playoff berth and European competition qualification.
Last summer, he joined SIG Strasbourg, but his 2024/25 campaign proved more challenging. In February, he departed for Scafati Basket in Italy, before finishing the season in Turkey.

He developed his game at Marquette University, where in the 2021–22 season he averaged 16.8 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists, earning Big East Conference Most Improved Player honors before declaring for the 2022 NBA Draft.
Undrafted, Lewis signed a two-way contract with the Chicago Bulls, but an injury slowed his progression. The following season, he returned to the G League with the Windy City Bulls and later the Salt Lake City Stars (2023–24). Devontae Cacok has been announced as UCAM Murcia CB’s seventh signing for the 2025/26 season. The American big man brings experience in both Europe and the NBA, known for his athleticism, strength, rebounding ability, team-first mentality, and skill in passing and finishing around the basket.
Cacok has played in the NBA for two franchises: the San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers, winning an NBA Championship with the latter in 2020.
In the 2022/23 season, he made his European debut with CSKA Moscow, averaging 9 points and 5 rebounds per game. The following year, he made his EuroLeague debut with Virtus Bologna.
