Edon Maxhuni (6’2”, 27 years old) is heading back to the Côte d’Opale. The Finnish national team point guard, who is set to compete at EuroBasket 2025, has signed a one-year deal with BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque.
Maxhuni is no stranger to the Hauts-de-France region — two years ago, he made a name for himself with Le Portel, averaging 10.9 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. Initially signed as an injury replacement for Benoît Mangin, he impressed so much that he earned a contract extension and helped guide the team to a historic season, securing both a playoff berth and European competition qualification.
Last summer, he joined SIG Strasbourg, but his 2024/25 campaign proved more challenging. In February, he departed for Scafati Basket in Italy, before finishing the season in Turkey.
Looking for renewed stability in the north, he will form the BCM 2025/26 backcourt alongside Soren Bracq, Mike Lewis, and Gauthier Denis.
Welcome to the Maritime family!
