Maccabi Tel Aviv reportedly targets Zach LeDay

The new major target of Maccabi Tel Aviv, following the signing of Tamir Blatt, is reportedly Zach LeDay, according to israelhayom.com.

Maccabi will exercise the renewal option for Jarell Martin (who was scouted by Virtus Bologna according to the Israeli portal), and then they will pursue the former Olimpia Milano player, whose contract with Partizan is expiring.

This season, LeDay has established himself at the highest European level, averaging 11.4 points and 5.1 rebounds in the EuroLeague.

Renewal talks between Real Madrid, Tavares reportedly stalled

There’s been no progress in the contract renewal talks between Real Madrid and Walter Tavares.

As reported by Eurohoops, the center’s contract will expire on June 30, 2024, with an annual salary for the last season of 4 million euros gross.

For the renewal, Tavares is asking for a significant salary jump, reaching 3 million net euros, a standard for top EuroLeague players like Vasa Micic and Shane Larkin.

Currently, the negotiations are at a standstill.
