Paolo Galbiati, head coach of Kosner Baskonia, spoke briefly after the 96-89 loss to Bayern Munich, a result that extends the team’s poor road run in the EuroLeague. Despite the absences of Luwawu-Cabarrot and Howard, Galbiati said Baskonia played well for the first 30 minutes and urged his players to keep their heads up.
The turning point came in the fourth quarter, when Baskonia lost control of the game. Galbiati admitted his team lacked physicality and proper positioning with their big men, and that they ultimately lost the game’s rhythm against a Bayern side led by a scorching Andreas Obst.
The biggest concern was Markus Howard’s late scratch. Asked about his condition, Galbiati refused to elaborate, saying only: “The club will speak tomorrow,” pointing to an imminent official update.
