The former Kings player, who took over after Mike Brown’s dismissal, appears to have benefited from the organization’s view of the difficult circumstances around the team.
Among the reasons behind the decision are the roster limitations, the fallout from the De’Aaron Fox trade, and the long list of injuries involving key players such as Keegan Murray, Domantas Sabonis, Zach LaVine and DeAndre Hunter. The Kings believe Christie deserves more time before a final judgment is made.
