Suns re-sign Lee and Okogie, agreed with Bates-Diop, Watanabe and Metu

The Phoenix Suns are very active in the early hours of free agency.

The Suns have confirmed Damion Lee and Josh Okogie, have reached the agreement with Keita Bates-Diop who will sign a two-year $ 5 million with the second year which is a player option.

The Suns also reached an agreement with Chimezie Metu who comes from the Kings and took Yuta Watanabe who instead comes from the Nets.

Khris Middleton signs a three-year, $102 million deal with Bucks

3 times an All-Star According to Khris Middleton’s representatives Mike Lindeman and Jeff Schwartz, the Milwaukee Bucks and the player have reached an agreement on a new three-year, $102 million contract. With his comeback, Middleton keeps the club a contender for the title. Middleton has a player option in final year of the deal.

According to Austin Brown, co-head of CAA Basketball, Kyle Kuzma and the Washington Wizards have reached an agreement on a four-year, $102 million contract. Three years ago, Kuzma signed a shorter contract with the Lakers; following a successful season with the Wizards, he finally cashes in.

Kyrie Irving expected to meet with Mavs, Suns, Lakers, Clippers, Rockets and Heat

When deciding where to sign this summer, Kyrie Irving intends to cast a broad net. According to league sources, Irving also expects to visit with the Lakers, Clippers, Rockets, and Heat in addition to the Dallas Mavericks, the team that acquired him in a trade earlier this year, and the Phoenix Suns. The sessions will take place in Los Angeles, as well as occasionally remotely. Since Irving is an unrestricted free agent, he may sign with any team.

Prior to the trade deadline in February, the Mavericks acquired Irving in exchange for Dorian Finney-Smith, Spencer Dinwiddie, an unprotected first-round selection in 2029, as well as second-round picks in 2027 and 2029. They planned to re-sign Irving to a long-term contract this summer.

All indications have pointed to a new Draymond Green contract with Golden State. As of Monday and league sources, Green is expected to sign a four-year, $100 million contract with the Warriors when free agency starts.


 

76ers do no intend to extend Tyrese Maxey’s contract this summer

Ramona Shelburne of ESPN is informed by sources that the Philadelphia 76ers do not intend to extend Tyrese Maxey’s contract this summer.

Although the Sixers still see Maxey as a key component of their long-term ambitions, they would like to put off signing a contract in order to maintain their flexibility. The Sixers may keep a possibility of cap space in 2024 with a $13 million cap hold. In 2024, Maxey will be a restricted free agent.

Maxey averaged 20.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 33.6 minutes per game in the 22-23 season. Maxey will likely play a major part for the Sixers in 23–24 given that James Harden will be traded by the franchise.

According to Brian Windhorst of ESPN, the 76ers may trade him to the Blazers to get Damian Lillard.

Clippers, Celtics reportedly resumed discussions on a potential Malcolm Brogdon trade this week

According to sources, Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports has learned that the Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics have resumed discussions on a potential Malcolm Brogdon trade this week.

The Clippers have been looking for a point guard improvement and were also considering Chris Paul. The Clippers also have the option of trading for James Harden.

The Clippers and the Celtics had previously agreed to a three-team deal for Brogdon, but they were unable to complete a thorough medical evaluation on him in time.

 

 

Joe Ingles to land in Orlando?

Joe Ingles, a free agency forward who might fit into the Magic’s $20 million in cap space on a short-term deal, is increasingly looking to land in Orlando, according to sources who spoke to Sports Illustrated.

Ingles averaged 6.9 points per game in 46 game played for the Bucks last season.

According to reports, the Los Angeles Lakers intend to sign D’Angelo Russell to a two-year contract that would pay him $20 million on average per season.
The Lakers are reportedly leaning toward bringing D’Angelo Russell back after acquiring him from the [Minnesota] Timberwolves at the trade deadline in February, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports. Early signs point to a two-year, $40 million agreement between Russell and the Lakers, with the second year being a club option or non-guaranteed.

 

 

Nets sending Joe Harris and two future second round picks to Pistons

According to ESPN’s sources, the Nets are sending the Pistons Joe Harris and two future second-round selections.
This summer, the Nets will establish a $19.9M Traded Player Exception and the freedom to explore more deal-making.
According to sources, the Nets are also giving the Pistons a 2027 second-round selection via Dallas and a 2029 second-round pick via the Bucks, along with Harris and his $19.9M expiring deal, ESPN reports.

According to league sources, Jordan Clarkson and the Jazz are actively discussing a three-year deal extension.

Although Van Gundy’s exact earnings are undisclosed, they were in the millions per year.

The most probable internal contenders to succeed Van Gundy are JJ Redick, Doris Burke, and Richard Jefferson.

If Doc Rivers’ pay demands are balanced out by what the Philadelphia 76ers owe him, he may be a viable alternative.
