Charles Misuraca, agent for Wayne Selden, replied to Tezenis Verona’s press release.

“Verona unfortunately breached the Contract by failing to pay our client per the Agreement. We terminated the Agreement in order to protect the Player’s rights.”

Besiktas has announced the arrival of Matt Mooney.

The Texas Tech product started the season in Germany with BV Chemnitz 99, scoring 36 total points in 3 BCL qualifying games.

 

Hapoel Haifa B.C. lands Richard Howell

Richard Howell is a new player of Hapoel Haifa B.C., as announced by the Israeli team.

The NC State product, who has an Israeli passport, last played from 2019 to 2021 with Hapoel Holon.

Jarrod Jones signs one-month deal with Joventut Badalona

Joventut Badalona announced the arrival of Jarrod Jones on a one-month deal.

The American power forward with Hungarian passport joins the Spanish team after a season in CBA with Zhejiang Guangsha (13.7 PPG, 7.6 RPG, 2.2 APG).

Real Madrid, Facu Campazzo reportedly open negotiations for player’s return

Real Madrid and Facundo Campazzo have started negotiations for players’ return.

Campazzo is now open to returning to Europe after two years in the NBA.

In the league it seems there is no interesting market for the point guard who is now looking at Europe.

There are several teams interested, among them Partizan Belgrade, but Real Madrid seems to be the priority for the Argentinean player.

The news has been reported by Carlos Sanchez Blas.

Dan Clark retires at 34

Dan Clark announced his retirement at 34.

The British international informed about his decision via Hoopsfix.

 

“It’s been a tough decision and I think it’s one not many people will be expecting,” Clark told Hoopsfix.

“It comes down to me being at peace with what I’ve done, I’m happy and more than proud of what I’ve done in my career. In life everything comes to an end and I think it’s important to be able to realise that. I’m lucky enough that other doors are starting to open and I just feel like it’s the right time for me personally”.

Beijing Ducks signs T.J. Leaf

Beijing Ducks reached an agreement with T.J. Leaf for the 2022/23 season.

The UCLA product remains in CBA after a year with over 24 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists per game with Guangzhou Loong Lions.

 

Eric Mika, Pooh Jeter among 8 players joining NBA G League Ignite

NBA G League Ignite has signed eight players to its roster, adding veteran presence with NBA and G League standouts including John Jenkins, Eric Mika and Cameron Young, plus the return of Pooh Jeter.

“We’re grateful to this group for their willingness to share their experience as they mentor and guide our young guys through the beginning of their professional basketball careers,” said head coach Jason Hart. “I couldn’t be more excited to get started with our team and begin preparation for a competitive G League season.”

Additionally, Anthony McClish, who worked in a consultant role with Ignite in its first two seasons, is the team’s new General Manager. McClish previously served as Director of Basketball Operations for the Sacramento Kings and General Manager for the Stockton Kings, and worked in a consultant role with USA Basketball. Ignite has also added Amani Jackson as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Jonathan Wall as Assistant Performance Coach.

Aubrey Dawkins | Forward
Dawkins most recently played on the Boston Celtics’ 2022 NBA2K23 Summer League roster, averaging 5.8 points. He signed with the New Orleans Pelicans on an Exhibition 10 contract in 2019, appearing in 37 games for New Orleans’ NBA G League affiliate, the Erie Bayhawks, where he averaged 9.3 points and 3.5 rebounds. Dawkins spent last season with Turk Telekom in the Turkish Basketball Super League, averaging12.9 points and shot 45.2 percent from 3-point range, and played a season with Germany’s BG Gottingen in 2020-21.

Marcus Graves | Guard
A three-year NBA G League veteran, Graves spent 2021-22 with the Stockton Kings and Wisconsin Herd. He played in 31 games for the Kings and 13 games for the Herd, averaging 9.8 points and 5.4 assists in 44 total appearances on the season. He also saw Summer League action with the Milwaukee Bucks this July.

John Jenkins | Guard
Jenkins, a former five-star recruit and Associated Press third-team All-American while at Vanderbilt, brings more than a decade of NBA, G League and international experience to Ignite’s roster. He was
selected 23rd overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2012 NBA Draft and amassed 171 career appearances during his time with the Hawks, Dallas Mavericks, Phoenix Suns, Washington Wizards and New York Knicks. Jenkins has also played in Spain, Israel and France.

Pooh Jeter | Guard
Jeter returns for a second consecutive season with Ignite after appearing in 25 games and averaging 7.9 points and 3.4 assists last year. Prior to joining Ignite, he spent time with the Sacramento Kings and in the NBA G League. Jeter also brings a wealth of international experience from a prolific career spanning the globe, including time in Spain, Israel, China, France, Turkey and the Ukraine.

Eric Mika | Center
In his lone G League season, Mika was a standout for the Stockton Kings in 2019-20, averaging 18.8 points. 12.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 23 games. His international experience spans the globe, with stops in Italy, Germany, China, Serbia and France. A member of the 2020 USA Basketball Men’s AmeriCup Qualifying Team, Mika helped the team to a 2-0 record in the FIBA tournament. He rejoined USAB for Men’s World Cup Qualifying Team action this summer.

Shareef O’Neal | Forward
O’Neal played in four games for the Los Angeles Lakers at 2022 NBA Summer League, where he shot 44.4 percent from the floor. He spent two seasons at UCLA, including a medical redshirt year in 2018-19, during which he had heart surgery, and finished his collegiate career with two seasons at LSU. O’Neal participated in NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago this May.

James Southerland III | Forward
Southerland’s professional career includes stops with the Charlotte Bobcats, New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers, as well as the G League’s Los Angeles D-Fenders, Santa Cruz Warriors and South Bay Lakers. He most recently played with CAB Madeira in Portugal, and previously played overseas in France, Italy, Germany and Japan.

Cameron Young | Guard
Young was an NBA G League standout in 2021-22, averaging 20.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 31 regular-season games. He started the season with the Memphis Hustle and was traded to the Cleveland Charge in February. Prior to his time in the G League, Young played with Cherkaski Mavpy in Ukraine in 2021 and Cantu in Italy in 2019-20.

Marquis Teague joins Kolossos

Kolossos announced the arrival of Marquis Teague to strengthen the backcourt.

The former Kentucky point guard spent last season in England with the London Lions, where he produced averages of 15.6 points and 4.7 assists per game in the FIBA Europe Cup.

Hapoel Holon lands Erick Green

Hapoel Holon has announced the arrival of Erick Green.

The Virginia Tech product will replace the injured CJ Harris.

Green played the final part of last season with Nutribullet Treviso (14 PPG, 2.6 APG).

Zhou Qi re-signs with Southeast Melbourne Phoenix

Four days before the first round of NBL23, the Southeast Melbourne Phoenix have announced the return of Zhou Qi for a second season.

The former Houston Rockets Chinese center played 24 games last year, producing 11.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 21 minutes.

Mateusz Ponitka: When Panathinaikos wants you and calls for you, it’s not a hard decision

Mateusz Ponitka landed in Greece to join Panathinaikos.
The Polish player left Pallacanestro Reggiana, with whom he signed a contract during the summer, to join the Greek powerhouse (which paid around €100.000 as buyout to the Italian team).

Per Eurohoops, “When Panathinaikos wants you and calls for you, it’s not a hard decision. Taking into consideration the whole history of the club, it’s easy. I want to be part of this family and historic club” he commented.

Krunoslav Simon returns to Croatia, signs with KK Cedevita Junior

After five successful seasons with Anadolu Efes, Krunoslav Simon returns to Croatia and signs with KK Cedevita Junior.

Simon will play for Croatian national team coach Damir Mulaomerovic.

Last season the veteran forward averaged 7.6 points and 2.9 assists per game between Euroleague and BSL.

Scoochie Smith joins MKS Start Lublin

MKS Start Lublin announced the signing of point guard Scoochie Smith for the 2022-23 season.

The Dayton product comes from a two-year stint with KK Mega Bemax (7.4 PPG, 5.6 APG, 1.5 SPG in ABA Liga last season).

 

Soles de Mexicali lands Kenneth Faried

Kenneth Faried is a new player of Soles de Mexicali, as announced by the Mexican team.

The 32-year-old power forward spent the 2021-22 season between CSKA Moscow and the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the G League (10.8 PPG, 7.3 RPG).

Faried won the gold medal with Team USA at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Artjoms Butjankovs signs with Donar

Artjoms Butjankovs has signed a contract with Donar.

The power forward spent last year in Russia with Samara (10.6 points, 4.9 rebounds per game).

Jordan McRae joins Hapoel Tel Aviv

Jordan McRae is the last addition to the Hapoel Tel Aviv roster for the 2022/23 season, the Israeli team announced.

The scoring guard spent last year with Boulogne-Levallois, where he averaged 13.7 points per game along with 2.5 assists and two rebounds in 26 minutes.

The Tennessee product was the No.58 pick of the 2014 NBA Draft.

MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg lands Isaiah Whitehead

MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg has announced the signing of Isaiah Whitehead.

The Seton Hall product last year played in Turkey with Besiktas Istanbul (11 PPG, 3.2 APG).

Whitehead also has NBA experience, playing in the American professional league and the G-League from 2016-2018 before joining Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia in 2018.

“Isaiah is a versatile player with a lot of experience in the top leagues, another important part of our team,” said head coach Josh King.

Yanick Moreira joins Kolossos

Kolossos Rhodes announced the arrival of Yanick Moreira to strengthen the roster under the basket.

The Angolan big man spent last season between Peristeri (9.5 PPG, 5.5 RPG in FIBA Europe Cup) and Petro de Luanda (BAL).

 

Mateusz Ponitka signs with Panathinaikos

Pallacanestro Reggiana informs that an agreement has been reached with Panathinaikos for the transfer of Mateusz Ponitka.

The Polish forward, who had signed a two-month contract with Reggio Emilia, returns to Euroleague.
