Baskonia won’t match the offer: Darius Thompson is set to become a new Valencia player. The guard has left Anadolu Efes Istanbul.

Valencia are ready to sign Darius Thompson, a point guard who left Anadolu Efes Istanbul at the end of last season.

As we reported, the Taronja club has made an official offer for the player, and the deal is expected to go through. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Baskonia will not match Valencia’s offer.

The deadline for submitting and matching an offer is 11.59pm today (Thursday 17 July), but Baskonia will not be making an offer. Darius Thompson will therefore be Valencia’s new point guard.
