Tough blow for the Oklahoma City Thunder: rookie Thomas Sorber suffered a torn ACL in practice and will miss his entire first NBA season.
The Georgetown product, drafted 15th overall, becomes the third Thunder first-rounder in the last four years to sit out as a rookie, following Chet Holmgren and Nikola Topic.
Sorber was unlikely to crack coach Daignault’s rotation immediately, but the injury delays his development in a team already facing future salary cap and luxury tax challenges.
