Yaxel Lendeborg continues to be one of the biggest surprises of the early NBA season. The Warriors rookie posted 31 points, 12 rebounds and six assists in a road win over Denver.
With 87 points through his first four games, Lendeborg has scored the most by a Warriors rookie over that span since Wilt Chamberlain in 1959. Stephen Curry was the last Golden State rookie to record at least 30 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a game.
“He’s as strong as an ox and skilled,” Steve Kerr said. “For a rookie to be that advanced already, it’s extremely rare.”
