Gli Houston Rockets hanno esercitato le opzioni per il quarto anno della guardia Jalen Green e del centro Alperen Sengun, e quelle del terzo anno per le ali Tari Eason e Jabari Smith Jr.
Green e Sengun sono stati scelti rispettivamente al n. 2 e al n. 16 del Draft NBA 2021, mentre Smith Jr ed Eason sono stati la terza e la diciassettesima pick del Draft NBA 2022.
Sengun ha iniziato la stagione regolare con 19,3 punti, 9 rimbalzi e 6,7 assist a partita, ma i nuovi Rockets di coach Udoka sono ancora al palo senza vittorie.
