Mario Hezonja’s name is back in the spotlight of the European transfer market. The latest development is the confirmation, provided by Sergio Scariolo, of an NBA opt-out clause in the Croatian player’s contract. The starting point remains clear: Hezonja has a contract with Real Madrid through 2029, signed as part of the renewal officially announced by the Spanish club on July 2, 2024. The most significant development in recent hours, however, is something else. Sergio Scariolo has publicly confirmed the existence of an NBA clause and admitted he does not know what decision the player will make this summer, thus reopening a scenario that seemed closed following the multi-year extension. Meanwhile, transfer rumors are swirling around Hezonja in Europe and the Middle East. In recent days, links have emerged to Dubai and Hapoel Tel Aviv, clubs that are always very active in the transfer market. But the situation remains fluid.
