L’ex Olimpia Milano Patric Young è rimasto vittima di un grave incidente automobilistico a Verdigre, Nebraska.
Secondo le informazioni riportate da Yankton Daily Press&Dakotan e raccolte dallo sceriffo della contea di Knox, si sarebbe trattato del ribaltamento di un singolo veicolo nella mattinata di mercoledì scorso.
Young, perfettamente cosciente, ha parlato nei giorni seguenti delle sue condizioni come della «battaglia più dura della mia carriera», ma con la consapevolezza di: «ritrovare una vita indipendente attraverso un faticoso recupero».
Patric Young è ricoverato presso il centro traumatologico di Sioux Falls e ha dovuto rinviare il suo matrimonio, in programma sabato a Omaha, sempre nel Nebraska.
Classe 1992, Young ha giocato la sua ultima gara da professionista il 26 maggio nei playoff di LBA tra la sua Avellino e l’Olimpia Milano, la squadra che lo portò in Italia dopo il grave infortunio patito con l’Olympiacos.
Laureato in telecomunicazioni a Florida, stava lavorando con il network SEC.

Just to clarify this tweet. I don’t want anyone to think that my amazing father hasn’t been present. My dad is my biggest supporter in my life. He was devastated by the news of my accident. I couldn’t ask for a better father, I hope to be half the man he is one day.
