Alle 14:00 è in programma la votazione per il nuovo CEO di EuroLeague Basketball, dopo la decisione maturata negli ultimi giorni a Barcellona di chiudere l’era Paulius Motiejunas. Su Sportando vi abbiamo fornito in questi giorni molti aggiornamenti su X, e tutto va nella direzione che abbiamo indicato.

Restano in corsa due candidati: il tedesco Michael Ilgner e lo spagnolo Chus Bueno. Ma la scelta sembra ormai destinata a cadere sul nome spagnolo.

Bueno porta un profilo fortemente “basket”: per 12 anni è stato vicepresidente NBA per l’area EMEA, con incarichi anche in FEB e ABP; in più, è stato nominato managing director di DAZN Basketball.

La sua eventuale nomina, secondo i report, potrebbe incidere anche sulle scelte di Real Madrid e Fenerbahce in tema di licenza decennale, con i Blancos tra i club che avrebbero spinto per la svolta al vertice.
