Watkins was the No. 43 pick in the last NBA Draft
The Washington Wizards have converted Jamir Watkins’ two-way contract into a standard two-year agreement, according to Shams Charania.
The Florida State product, selected with the No. 43 pick in the most recent NBA Draft, is averaging 5.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 18 minutes per game.
Leaky Black and Sharife Cooper remain on two-way contracts with the team. A few days ago the Wizards converted also the deal of Serbian big man Tristan Vukcevic.
The new point guard could improve Minnesota’s pace and ball movement, while Anthony Edwards remains central to the offense
