Marco Ramondino is no longer the head coach of SYNTAINICS MBC: after seven consecutive losses in the easyCredit BBL, the club and the 43-year-old Italian agreed to a mutual termination of his contract, which had been set to run until mid-2027.
The split followed the 84–110 loss to promoted side Trier, the team’s heaviest defeat of the season, with Ramondino reportedly asking the club to end the agreement. His first job abroad ends early after 24 competitive games, with an overall record of 13 wins and 11 losses across BBL, the BBL Cup and the ENBL.
Until a new head coach is appointed, sporting director Silvano Poropat will step in as interim, making his comeback on Friday at 8:00 pm at home against Oldenburg. “I regret Marco’s decision, which also came as a surprise to me.
