Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets have agreed to a two-year, $90 million contract extension. The news was reported by Espn’s Shams Charania.

The 15-time All-Star accepted roughly $30 million less than the maximum to help the team maintain salary-cap flexibility.

Durant is set to make his debut with Houston on Tuesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

According to Shams Charania, the new deal brings Durant’s career earnings to $598.2 million, the highest in NBA history, surpassing LeBron James’ $583.9 million.

According to HoopsHype, the Atlanta Hawks and Caleb Houstan have agreed on a two-way deal. The Canadian forward, 22, shot 40% from beyond the arc last season with the Orlando Magic.

Houstan adds perimeter shooting and depth to Quin Snyder’s rotation, splitting time between the G League and the main roster as the Hawks look to strengthen their bench options.

The Minnesota Timberwolves wrapped up preseason with key roster decisions ahead of the opener in Portland. The team waived Bernard, Newton, Pullin and Johnson, setting the roster at 17 players. Meanwhile, Johnny Juzang earned a two-way deal after a strong preseason showing.

The 26-year-old sharpshooter out of Northern Iowa has spent his entire career with the Bucks, averaging 7.4 points per game while shooting 42% from three last season.

The new deal runs through the end of the 2029–30 season.

The Boston Celtics have decided to release RJ Luis and sign Ron Harper Jr. to a Two-Way deal.

Luis joined the team this summer after being acquired from the Utah Jazz.

Harper Jr. totaled 13 points across three preseason appearances with Boston.

The Celtics’ other two-way players are second-round picks Amari Williams and Max Shulga.

According to HoopsHype, the Cleveland Cavaliers have waived Killian Hayes, with plans for him to join the team’s G League affiliate as he works toward another NBA chance.

The Utah Jazz have added Pedro Bradshaw to their training camp roster under an Exhibit 10 contract, which includes a bonus of up to $85,300 for players who spend at least 60 days in the G League after being waived.

The Milwaukee Bucks are signing Alex Antetokounmpo to a two-way contract, his agent Alex Saratsis (Octagon) told ESPN. He now joins his older brothers Giannis and Thanasis, making NBA history as the first trio of siblings on active roster deals with the same team.

The Chicago Bulls have exercised the third-year team option on Matas Buzelis’ rookie contract, Keith Smith reports.

Last season, Buzelis averaged 8.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 18 minutes per game. As a starter in 31 contests, he posted 13 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while shooting 47% from the field and 35% from three-point range.

The Miami Heat and Nikola Jovic agreed on a four-year, $62.4 million fully guaranteed rookie extension. Drafted in 2022, the Serbian forward has played 107 games for Miami across three seasons.

Jovic averaged a career-high 10.7 points last season, despite missing time with a broken hand. Head coach Erik Spoelstra praised his maturity and development after strong summers with the Serbian national team.
