Following the end of his turbulent stint with Virtus Bologna, Dusko Ivanovic has quickly found a new challenge. The Montenegrin coach has been appointed as the new head coach of Zenit St.Petersburg, signing a contract that will keep him with the Russian club through the end of the 2028-29 season.
Ivanovic arrives with a wealth of international experience after coaching some of Europe’s most respected organizations, including Baskonia, Crvena Zvezda, and Virtus Bologna.
Zenit views his appointment as a major step toward strengthening its long-term project and competing at the highest level domestically. The veteran coach will now look to bring his demanding style and winning mentality to St.Petersburg.
