Jabari Parker is currently out of Partizan Belgrade’s rotation, and his future could become one of the EuroLeague’s market storylines to monitor. BasketNews has analyzed five teams that could benefit from the former NBA forward, including Olimpia Milano.
BasketNews’ analysis: “At first glance, Milano might not appear to need another forward. Alec Peters is already an established EuroLeague power forward fresh off a championship run, while head coach Peppe Poeta also has Giampaolo Ricci, Jason Burnell, and Nicola Akele available in the frontcourt. But that is precisely where Parker could provide something different. Peters is an elite three-point shooter and highly efficient scorer, while Ricci, Burnell, and Akele can provide physicality and complementary minutes. However, none of them brings quite the same combination of individual skill that Parker possesses. That could let Poeta use Peters and Parker differently depending on matchups, or even put them together in offense-minded lineups. For Parker, Milano would provide another major European city and another chance to compete for trophies.”
Alongside Olimpia Milano, BasketNews identified four other potential destinations for Parker: Besiktas, Anadolu Efes, Barcelona, and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
