The Minnesota Timberwolves received encouraging test results, but the left knee injury will still sideline Anthony Edwards for multiple weeks during the playoff series against Denver

Mixed news for the Minnesota Timberwolves: Anthony Edwards avoided ligament damage after suffering a left knee hyperextension and bone bruise in Game 4 against the Denver Nuggets.

According to ESPN, testing ruled out any ligament injury, but Edwards is still expected to miss multiple weeks. Sources indicate he will likely miss the rest of Minnesota’s first-round series against Denver and at least part of a possible Western Conference semifinal.

Minnesota still won Game 4 112-96 to take a 3-1 series lead. Edwards was injured late in the second quarter after landing awkwardly on a block attempt, while the Timberwolves pulled away in the second half behind Ayo Dosunmu’s 43 points. Donte DiVincenzo also went down in the same game with a torn Achilles.
