Adam Silver confirmed in London that talks are underway with Paris Saint-Germain for the NBA Europe project.
Deputy commissioner Mark Tatum reiterated that Paris is a “must-have” market.
Adam Silver confirmed the NBA is in discussions with Paris Saint-Germain as a potential franchise for NBA Europe.
Speaking at a press conference in London on Saturday, he pointed to PSG as the leading candidate in Paris.
Silver said PSG “compete(s) at the highest level” and has the know-how to run a top basketball club, “if they’re interested.”
“Yes, it’s a club we’re talking to,” he said, as reported.
Deputy commissioner Mark Tatum added that “Paris is a market we absolutely want to be in” for the project.
He also highlighted PSG’s branding strength and its partnership with the Jordan brand.
