Félix Fernández has explained Baskonia’s position on Paolo Galbiati’s dismissal, focusing on the relationship between the coach and the sporting department. The executive revealed that Galbiati had expressed his desire to coach Barcelona during the summer.
“Galbiati told us in the summer that he wanted to coach Barça, and afterwards we noticed a disconnect with the sporting department. He didn’t want Tadas or two or three other players, some of them franchise players of the club,” Fernández said.
He added: “We saw a not very active attitude. He didn’t want two or three players, including Tadas. We can’t throw away the EuroLeague in October.”
