Crvena Zvezda will face ASVEL in EuroLeague without Jonathan Motley and Ebuka Izundu. Head coach Ibon Navarro confirmed that the club is already searching the market for a frontcourt reinforcement.
Izundu suffered a right ankle sprain against Buducnost and will miss the trip to France, joining Motley on the injury list. “We’re taking it hour by hour rather than day by day. We hope he’ll be ready for the next game,” Navarro said.
With both centers unavailable, Zvezda will be forced into smaller lineups, using Dejan Davidovac, Jordan Nwora, Chima Moneke and Semi Ojeleye among the frontcourt options. “It’s not a choice, it’s a necessity. We’ll do what we have to do,” Navarro added.
The coach also confirmed that reinforcements are being sought: “Of course, the club is looking for a player who can help us. Sooner or later, they’ll find one.”
