Ben Simmons could become Kings starter: “He looks like Sixers Ben again”

Ben Simmons is reportedly making a strong impression at Sacramento Kings training camp and could soon earn a starting role.
According to Marc J. Spears, the veteran may move into the starting lineup within the first month of the season.

“I’ve heard he’s had an outstanding camp,” Marc J. Spears said. “I wouldn’t be surprised if, within a month, he’s starting. He’s doing that well. He looks like he’s playing with the Sixers again.”

Sacramento is still taking a cautious approach. Simmons is expected to make his preseason debut either Thursday against the Lakers or Saturday against the Warriors. The 30-year-old signed a one-year minimum deal that is not fully guaranteed.
