Derek Needham is the final addition to Chorale Roanne Basket’s roster for the 2026-27 season. The 35-year-old, 1.80m guard joins the French club after a long and successful career across Europe.
Needham has played for clubs such as AS Monaco, Besiktas, Rytas Vilnius, Bursaspor, Mornar Bar and Pallacanestro Reggiana, where he was Italian league runner-up. Last season, he averaged 10 points and 2.7 assists in nearly 22 minutes per game with Girona in Liga ACB.
“Derek fits the profile of the experienced player we were looking for to complete and guide a group that will partly discover the level of the Betclic Elite,” T.J. Parker said. Needham added: “I can’t wait to start this new adventure in Roanne.”
