Erik Spoelstra e Taylor Jenkins sono stati scelti come NBA Coaches of the Month per Dicembre.

Spoelstra ha guidato gli Heat a un record di 10 vittorie in 15 partite, nonostante diversi infortuni e altrettanti giocatori fermati dal Protocollo anti-Covid.

Jenkins e i suoi Grizzlies sono saldamente quarti ad Ovest, con un record di 24 vittorie in 38 partite, e 12 su 16 a dicembre.
