Zion Williamson made his intentions clear at the end of the New Orleans Pelicans season, saying this will be “a different summer” after years of frustration. Entering his eighth NBA season, Williamson still has not appeared in a playoff game and admitted how difficult that has been for him.
While pleased with his improved durability this year, Williamson said his overall play was not good enough to help the team win at the level required. He wants to become more unpredictable offensively and take on a bigger responsibility for the group.
His goal for next season is straightforward: play 75 to 82 games and finally reach the playoffs with New Orleans. Williamson also made it clear he does not want to be traded, calling the city his home and expressing full trust in executive Joe Dumars.
