Anthony Davis said he feels good about his situation with the Washington Wizards, stressing that the franchise is not what many people think from the outside. The veteran praised the organization, coaching staff and locker room, saying he wants to have fun and compete where he is.
Acquired from Dallas in February as part of an eight-player trade, Davis said he is intrigued by the roster’s young talent and by the foundation laid by the front office. The 33-year-old also plans to meet with management soon to discuss the team’s direction and long-term vision.
The Wizards finished 2025-26 with the NBA’s worst record at 17-65, but Davis believes the additions of himself and Trae Young can help change the trajectory. At the same time, he acknowledged how difficult it is to go from losing to true title contention.
