German powerhouse suffered a surprising sweep in BBL Semifinal against 7-seed Ulm and Italian coach is rumoured to leave after three seasons
After suffering a surprising BBL semifinal sweep from 7th seed Ulm, Bayern Munich coach Andrea Trinchieri hinted that his tenure with the German powerhouse is over. “I think that was the last game of my tenure at Bayern”, he said to Magenta Sport at the end of Game 3.
If confirmed, Trinchieri would end his tenure as Bayern head coach after three seasons with two German Cups and two Euroleague Playoff runs. To replace him, the most likely name is Pablo Laso.
The 22-year-old joins for one season with a return option and will temporarily replace injured captain Robin Christen
