Despite the win, coach Svetislav Pesic was strongly critical of his players

After beating Portugal, Svetislav Pesic was not satisfied at all: “We were not ready to play. Maybe we were already thinking too much about the next game against Latvia”.

Pesic made clear that Serbia must improve: “This is not the Serbian national team. Winning is not enough. We need to show progress, more respect, more focus. We expect more from ourselves”.

On Filip Petrusev’s ejection, Pesic said: “That’s not basketball, that’s discipline. I will forgive him, but it must not happen again. A national team player can’t behave like that”.
