Partizan has reached an agreement with Robert Franks, according to Mozzart Sport. The 29-year-old American has reportedly already signed with the Belgrade club and is expected to arrive in Serbia by the end of the week.
Franks is coming from Nanjing in China and will strengthen Joan Peñarroya’s frontcourt. Partizan had been searching for a player with his profile at power forward, a need that became even more significant following Derek Willis’ injury.
The 29-year-old has played in Japan with Nagoya and Ibaraki, in Australia with Brisbane and Adelaide, and in Israel with Hapoel Gilboa Galil. He also appeared in the NBA with the Orlando Magic and won the 2021 G League championship with Lakeland. According to Mozzart Sport, Partizan could also consider adding another player in the near future.
