Is Monaco pulling out of the race for Nikola Mirotic? This is reported by BasketNews, announcing the agreement between the Monégasque team and former Olimpia Milano player Mike James for the next season.

Indeed, Mike James let the exit option for a guaranteed NBA contract expire on July 25. The player stays in Europe in a guard department under Sasa Obradovic, which is absolutely extraordinary: Kemba Walker, Jordan Loyd, Elie Okobo, Matthew Strazel, and Yakuba Ouattara. The latter is expected to renew his contract shortly.

And what about Nikola Mirotic? BasketNews reports: “The Roca Team was in the race for Nikola Mirotic, but at this point, it doesn’t seem likely that the most important free agent in EuroLeague will transfer to the Monegasque club.”

Markel Brown reportedly to earn $225,000 with Girona

Markel Brown departs from OJM Varese to join Basquet Girona in the Spanish league. The former Brooklyn Nets player, who spent his last season in Varese, has opted for a yearly contract worth $225,000, targeting the most attractive European championship as reported La Prealpina.

Among other things, Armand has experience playing in the BKT EuroCup, the Basketball Champions League and the Fiba Europe Cup. He used to play in the second-tier European club basketball competition in the 2018/19 season, when he wore the Zenit jersey, averaging 4.7 points and 2.2 assists in just over 13 minutes of play in six games.

He used to play for Gaziantep in the Basketball Champions League. He played in the Fiba European Cup in two seasons, 2014/15 with Fraport Skyliners, and 2019/20 when he played for Bahçeşehir Koleji. During his career, Armand also played for Istanbul BB, Élan Chalon, Fuenlabrada and Socar Spor.

Last season the VTB League, he averaged 5.8 points, 5.3 assists and 2.5 rebounds in the regular season, and in the Playoffs, he recorded 8.7 points, 6.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds per match.
