Hapoel Tel Aviv owner Ofer Yannay gave an interview to the club’s official channels, revealing a sensational transfer story. The Israeli club was reportedly very close to signing Nigel Hayes-Davis, the recent MVP of the EuroLeague Final Four. Below are his statements.
Yannay’s words: “We were certain we would bring in Nigel Hayes-Davis. We were convinced it would happen. He had an option in the NBA and, in fact, told us he would join us only if he failed to secure a contract overseas. On a potential return to Olimpia Milano, Gallinari said: “Let’s make this clear once and for all. First of all, to return to Milan you need to be wanted. Has it always been my dream? Yes, it has, and I’ve always said that. Even when I was in the NBA, in recent years, I thought about coming back to Milan. But again, to return you need to be wanted. Panathinaikos could soon reach an agreement with Dinos Mitoglou over a contract extension. The Greek forward is a key piece for coach Ergin Ataman’s team, and the club’s intention is to secure him for the long term.
According to Dimitris Giannakopoulos, who spoke during an Instagram live session, the plan is to lock down the player with a five-year deal.

After spending five seasons at Villanova, Samuels Jr. played his first three professional years primarily in the G League, making 14 NBA appearances with the Houston Rockets during the 2023/24 season.

The 2021 NBA champion with the Milwaukee Bucks has agreed to a one-year deal with the Greek club.

Bosnia and Herzegovina face uncertainty over Dzanan Musa ahead of EuroBasket 2025. The player has undergone emergency surgery, according to Radio Sarajevo.
Musa experienced abdominal pain and, following the surgical procedure, one of his agents gave an interview to discuss his condition.
His representative said: “Dzanan has expressed his desire to do everything possible to ensure his recovery and keep the door open for a potential participation in the upcoming EuroBasket, in line with his strong wish to be with the team in Cyprus. In this situation, his presence is certainly uncertain.”

A return to Europe is becoming increasingly unlikely for 23-year-old French point guard Killian Hayes, who already has five NBA seasons under his belt.

As reported yesterday, Kai Jones has been invited to the Kaseya Center for a workout with the Miami Heat.
The big man — who, according to some rumors, has a verbal agreement with Virtus Bologna — will remain in Florida at least through Thursday, per Barry Jackson.
Jackson wrote:
“Kai Jones is spending four days working out at Kaseya Center this week as the Heat evaluates whether to sign the veteran power forward/center. One involved source said the Heat long has shown an appreciation for Jones’ skill set but is merely “kicking the tires” to see if signing him would be something worth considering”
The former Texas standout is hoping for another shot in the NBA, and the Heat would indeed be an ideal landing spot given their long track record of reviving careers of undrafted players and former first-round picks under Erik Spoelstra’s guidance.
However, the team’s current salary situation could pose a hurdle. Miami has 14 standard NBA contracts totaling approximately $189.2 million — about $1.6 million above the Luxury Tax threshold. That’s a relatively small gap that could be cleared by moving any player before the trade deadline, but the figure would rise further with another signing.
According to several team reporters, the front office plans to carefully evaluate all options before adding a 15th player to the roster.
With four years of NBA experience, Jones is no longer eligible for a Two-Way contract.
