Shangai Sharks sign Noah Vonleh, Yogi Ferrell

The Shanghai Sharks have announced the arrivals of Noah Vonleh and Yogi Ferrell for the 2023-24 season.

Both players attended college in Indiana.

Vonleh last year played 23 games with the Boston Celtics, while Ferrell comes from a two-year stint with Cedevita (16.4 points and 5.3 assists per game between Eurocup and Aba Liga last season).

Chasson Randle signs with Aek Athens

Aek Athens announced the arrival of Chasson Randle on a contract until the end of the 2023/24 season.

The point guard is the fifth former NBA player signed by the Greek club this summer, after Kabengele, McLemore, Kuzminskas and McRae.

Randle will share minutes at the point guard position with Langston Hall.

 

BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque inks Landry Nnoko

Landry Nnoko is a new player of BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque, as announced by the French team.

The 29-year-old center spent last year between Korea (Suwon KT Sonicboom) and the G League (Team Ignite).

 

Demonte Harper joins Ironi Ness Ziona

Demonte Harper is a new player for Ironi Ness Ziona, as announced by the Israeli club.

Harper spent last season in Italy with Bertram Derthona, where he produced averages of 9 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

 

ASVEL, Dee Bost part ways

ASVEL announced the consensual termination of Dee Bost’s contract.

The veteran point guard joined the French team last year, producing 8.9 points and 4.3 assists per game in Euroleague and 12.2 points with 3.4 assists in BetClic Elite.

 

 

Travante Williams joins BAXI Manresa

BAXI Manresa announced the arrival of Travante Williams on a 1+1 deal.

The swingman spent 3 seasons with Sporting Club, the last one with averages of 14.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2 steals.

 

UNICS reportedly signing Ismael Bako

According to Orazio Cauchi, Ismael Bako is about to leave Virtus Bologna to join UNICS.

The russian team will pay a buyout for the 27-year-old Belgian center, who produced 5.4 points and 3.2 rebounds in 15 minutes per game last season with coach Scariolo’s team.

Once Bako’s exit is finalized, Virtus is expected to announce the arrival of Bryant Dunston.

Alba Berlin signs Sterling Brown

Sterling Brown, a seasoned NBA guard, will join ALBA Berlin in Europe, the team announced on Tuesday. Brown (1.96 meters, 28 years old) played in four games for the Los Angeles Lakers last year before playing the rest of the year for the NBA G League’s Raptors 905 team. Over the course of six seasons starting in 2017, he has participated in 290 NBA games overall, including last season. In that time, he has averaged 16.6 minutes while scoring 5.3 points and pulling down 3.3 rebounds. Brown will play in his first Turkish Airlines EuroLeague game after signing a two-year contract. After Matt Thomas and Matteo Spagnolo, he is the third new guard that ALBA has brought in during the offseason.

Trentyn Flowers sign with Adeilaide 36ers

Trentyn Flowers has withdrawn his commitment to Louisville and will join the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian National Basketball League.

Flowers is the upcoming class of 2023’s No. 18 prospect according to ESPN. Flowers decided to graduate early so that she may attend at Louisville this summer. She was originally a member of the class of 2024. Since June, Flowers have participated in team workouts.

Rasheed Sulaimon joins Wolves Vilnius

Rasheed Sulaimon, a combo guard, has been recruited to Wolves Vilnius’ backcourt for the upcoming season, giving him BKT EuroCup experience. Sulaimon (1.94 meters, 29 years old) comes from Konyaspor in Turkey, where in 23 Turkish League games previous season he averaged 18.0 points, 5.2 assists, and 4.7 rebounds. During his lone EuroCup season to date, he averaged 13.5 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.2 assists over 18 games for Mincidelice JL Bourg en Bresse.

QJ Peterson to join Jilin Northeast Tigers

QJ Peterson has signed with the Jilin Northeast Tigers, Dionysis Aravantinos reports.

After a convincing Summer League with the New York Knicks (12 points and 2.5 assists in 17 minutes per game), the Virginia Military product will return to China.

Last season, Peterson scored 28.7 points per game with 7 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 2 steals for the Nanjing Tongxi Monkey Kings.

 

Drew Crawford joins Hapoel Holon

Hapoel Holon has announced the signing of Drew Crawford for next season.

The guard spent last year in Trento, where he produced averages of 10.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game between LBA and Eurocup.

Crawford has already played in Israel with Maccabi Rishon Lezion and Bnei Herzelia.

 

 

Will Cummings signs with South East Melbourne Phoenix

Will Cummings has signed a deal for the upcoming NBL season with the South East Melbourne Phoenix.

The experienced guard spent last year in CBA with Zhejiang Guangsha (10 PPG, 2.6 APG in 16 minutes).

 

Jon Davis joins BC Lietkabelis

BC Lietkabelis strengthens the backcourt with the arrival of Jon Davis.

The guard spent last year between Serbia (19.4 PPG, 4 APG with Mladost Admiral Zemun) and Lithuania (15.9 PPG with Utenos Juventus).

Davis signed a one-year contract.

Partizan inks PJ Dozier

Partizan announced the arrival of PJ Dozier on a contract for the upcoming season.

The versatile wing has played in the NBA with Nuggets, Kings, Celtics and Thunder.

Dozier spoke to the official website of the Serbian team after signing the deal.

“This is my first time leaving the United States, so I was a bit nervous at first. However, since I heard only good things about the city, the nervousness quickly turned into excitement. I heard about the club as the best place to play and with a great coach, so I am very happy”.

Rozier has the skills to play in multiple roles, but he feels he can do best at point guard.

“I think it’s the position where I can help the team the most, but I take pride in playing all three perimeter positions with great confidence”.

 

Sterling Brown reportedly close to Alba Berlin

According to Tolis Kotzias, Alba Berlin is close to finalising the arrival of Sterling Brown.

After three years with the Bucks, Brown has also played for the Mavs, Rockets and Lakers in the last three seasons.

In the NBA, playing mainly as a ‘3-and-D’, the versatile swingman produced career-averages of 5.3 points and 3.3 rebounds in 16 minutes.

Last year Brown also played 26 games in the G League with the Raptors 905 (15.5 PPG, 7.1 RPG, 4.5 APG).

 

Jordan Theodore joins Metropolitans 92

Jordan Theodore is a new player of Metropolitans 92, as announced by the French team.

The Seton Hall product spent last year between Samara (11.2 PPG, 5.1 APG in VTB League) and the Fraport Skyliners (18 PPG, 5.4 APG in BBL).

Aek Athens reportedly signing Justin Tillman, in advanced talks with Chasson Randle

Aek Athens continues to work on the US market, following the signings of former NBA players Jordan McRae and Ben McLemore.

The Greek team has finalised the arrival of Justin Tillman and is close to reaching an agreement with Chasson Randle, according to Christos Tsaltas and Tomer Givati.

Tillman spent last year between China and Israel (19.3 PPG, 6.6 RPG with Hapoel Haifa).

Randle in 2022/23 produced averages of 13.9 points (41% from three) and 2.7 assists per game in G League between Grand Rapids Gold and Oklahoma City Blue.

PJ Dozier to join KK Partizan

KK Partizan has finalised the signing of PJ Dozier, according to Telesport.

The athletic swingman out of South Carolina is coming off six NBA seasons, most recently with the Sacramento Kings.

Dozier owns NBA career averages of 5.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists. Last year in 11 G League games he produced over 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 33 minutes.

 

SIG Strasbourg inks Nakye Sanders

SIG Strasbourg closes the roster with the signing of big man Nakye Sanders.

Sporting Director Nicola Alberani comments: “I am happy that we were able to complete the group with the signing of Nakye, because he has characteristics that fit perfectly with our outsider spirit. He is a player who has a lot to prove and will grasp with all his will and desire the opportunity we are giving him. This team will not be among the most experienced we have had recently, but it will certainly be one of the most determined and difficult to play against.

After an excellent rookie season in Portugal, Sanders last year injured his ankle after eight games with Balikesir, in the Turkish second league.

 

Bandja Sy signs with Paris Basketball

Paris Basketball announced on Thursday that it had signed forward Bandja Sy to the squad to give it more size and experience. Sy, 33 years old and 2.05 meters tall, arrives from Metropolitans 92, where he had spent the previous two years. Sy helped the Mets get to the French League playoff finals with 5.8 points, 38.7% from long range, and 3.2 rebounds during the previous year.

Sy has competed in six BKT EuroCup seasons overall. He has made 75 appearances, 47 of which have been as a starter, averaging 5.6 points and 3.5 rebounds per game.

Matteo Spagnolo joins Alba Berlin

Following his three-year signing with ALBA Berlin, Matteo Spagnolo will experience his first Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season next year. Spagnolo (1.94 meters tall, 20 years old) played in 13 games for Dolomiti Energia Trento during the 2022–23 BKT EuroCup season, averaging 11.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and a 12.3 PIR. The Italian, a product of the Stella Azzurra Roma and Real Madrid academies, now has the chance to showcase his ability on the largest platform in Europe after joining ALBA.

D’Angelo Harrison signs with Nutribullet Treviso

D’Angelo Harrison is a new player of Nutribullet Treviso, as announced by the Italian team.

The St.John’s product follows Frank Vitucci, who was his coach for the last three seasons with Happy Casa Brindisi.

Last year Harrison produced 11.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 18 games.

The guard was the top scorer of the Italian league in the 2020-21 season with 18.6 points per game.

 

Prentiss Hubb joins Trento

Combo guard Prentiss Hubb, who signed a one-year contract, completed the Dolomiti Energia Trento lineup for the 2018 campaign. Hubb (1.91 meters tall, 25 years old) joins from German club Ludwigsburg, where in 37 German League games last year he averaged 15.4 points, 5.7 assists, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.0 steals.

After four years at the University of Notre Dame, Hubb played in the Basketball Champions League, posting comparable stats in 8 games: 15.9 points, 5.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. This was his first season as a professional.
