Shannon Evans joined Real Betis in the summer of 2021 after his stints in Hungarian, French and Turkish basketball, quickly becoming a key figure in the team. After a fantastic 2021-22 season where he averaged 17.4 points and 6.8 assists in the ACB, he decided to renew with Betis, eventually moving to Valencia Basket last January. However, the Connecticut native did not adapt well to the secondary role he had in Valencia in the second half of last season, averaging 5.5 points and 2.3 assists in the EuroLeague, leading Valencia Basket to ultimately terminate his contract despite having paid over 200,000 euros to Betis just a few months prior.

The Spaniard just finished a season with the Toronto Raptors in which he played in 42 games and averaged 14.6 minutes, 2.9 points, and 2.9 rebounds per game. He will make his Turkish Airlines EuroLeague debut with the Greens this year after never having participated in the league previously.
