Milano president and coach spoke about his Canadian point guard in interviews with Corriere della Sera and Il Foglio

In an interview given to Corriere della Sera and Il Foglio, Olimpia Milano president and head coach Ettore Messina had this to say about the team’s poor start in the Euroleague: “At the root of this disappointing start to the season is an original sin. We don’t have the right driver for our car. Pangos is not the man who can make this team play”

Messina spoke also about Shabazz Napier, former Milano guard and today at Crvena Zvezda: “Now he continues to send messages to his friends saying he wants to come back. Napier’s merit was to change the team’s personality”.

Milano coach also said that he thought of resigning from his post in the previous days: “At the beginning of the week, I went to Giorgio Armani and Leo Dell’Orco to ask if they wanted me to step aside given the results. Mr. Armani said to me, ‘Go to work.’ Mr. Dell’Orco said, ‘Let’s go back to winning.’ I have great gratitude towards them, and I don’t want to disappoint them”.
