Olympiacos is actively pursuing Naz Mitrou-Long (30 years old, 1.93 meters) to strengthen its perimeter line according with Sport24 and Sportando.
Mitrou-Long, who last season played for Armani Milan and then moved to Kaunas to join Zalgiris, is currently on the radar of the Greek team. Olympiacos is waiting for his release from Zalgiris to finalize the acquisition.
If the deal for the 30-year-old guard progresses, he will be eligible to play for Olympiacos in the EuroLeague from the second round, starting with the team’s match against Armani Milan on January 2nd at 21:15.
Mitrou-Long revealed in an interview with SPORT24 that he will have a Greek passport by the end of the year, which is particularly important for domestic competitions.
In this season’s top European club competition, he has averaged 4.1 points, 1.2 rebounds, and 1 assist over 9 games.
