Fraport Skyliners lands Jamel McLean

Jamel McLean is a new player of Fraport Skyliners, the German team announced.

The veteran power forward started the season in Spain with Casademont Zaragoza (9 points and 4 rebounds per game in  ACB).

McLean signed a contract until the end of the season.

Olimpia Milano signs Tommaso Baldasso

Olimpia Milano has reached a two-year agreement, until the end of the 2022/23 season, with Tommaso Baldasso, born in Turin, on January 29, 1998, 1.92, point-guard, coming from Fortitudo Bologna. “We brought to Milan a young player, whom we had been following for some time and who plays a position in which, because of our schedule, it is important to have alternatives,” Olimpia general manager Christos Stavropoulos said. “I’m really happy about Coach Messina’s call and about the opportunity given to me. Olimpia is a club of the highest level and normally it represents a destination team for any player. Regarding me, instead, it is a starting point to work hard, improve, develop myself and try to help this great team. I can’t wait to start.”

HIS CAREER – Tommaso Baldasso started playing in the youth academy of Auxilium Torino and PMS Moncalieri. In 2016, he moved to Virtus Roma where in 2019 he contributed to the promotion of the team to the top Italian League. During the 2019/20 season, he played in Rome in Serie A (7.1 points and 3.0 rebounds per game) and was there at the beginning of the following season. Then, he moved to Fortitudo Bologna and finished the season averaging 8.0 points and 2.9 rebounds per game. During the current season, he was scoring 5.8 points per game while shooting 38.5 percent from three.

NOTES – Baldasso made his debut with the Italian National Team on November 30, 2020 in Tallinn, in a win over Russia.

Josh Owens returns to Hapoel Tel Aviv

Josh Owens returns to the team where he began his career in Europe, Hapoel Tel Aviv.

The big man signed an agreement until the end of the season.

Owens started the season in Greece with Ionikos (6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 1.2 bpg).

Ruben Guerrero reportedly joining Coosur Real Betis

Ruben Guerrero will move from Unicaja Malaga to Coosur Real Betis, Encestando reports.

The Samford product played a total of 60 minutes in 10 ACB games with Malaga.

Shamiel Stevenson joining Serbian club Kolubara

Canadian guard Shamiel Stevenson is heading to Serbia to join the basketball club Kolubara to get his professional career started, his agent Faraz Khan told Sportando. He will begin on a 2-week tryout, then the expectation is that he’ll sign a deal for the rest of the season.

Stevenson played three years of college basketball at Pittsburgh and Nebraska, averaging seven points and 3.4 rebounds per game for his NCAA career. He will be automatically eligible for the 2022 NBA Draft.

Fuenlabrada, Sean Armand parting ways

Spanish club Urbas Fuenlabrada and guard Sean Armand are parting ways, sources told Sportando.

Armand played in nine games with Fuenlabrada in the Liga ACB, averaging 11 points and 2.6 assists while shooting 42% from 3-point range. He was recently listed out of the active roster for last Sunday’s game against Real Madrid.

Coosur Real Betis part ways with Khadeen Carrington, Marko Todorovic

Coosur Real Betis announced the departure of guard Khadeen Carrington and big man Marko Todorovic.
Both players have terminated their contract with the Spanish team.

Malcolm Thomas signs short-term deal with Petkimspor

EuroLeague veteran big man Malcolm Thomas has signed a lucrative short-term (1.5 month) deal with Petkimspor in Turkey’s BSL, his agency, SLASH Sports, told Sportando.

Thomas played last season in Spain with Unicaja Malaga, averaging around six points and four rebounds per game since joining the team. He has spent several years in the EuroLeague with Maccabi Tel Aviv, Khimki Moscow, Fenerbahce and Bayern Munich.

Adonis Thomas joining BC Krka Novo Mesto

Veteran forward Adonis Thomas has reached an agreement on a deal with BC Krka Novo Mesto of the ABA Liga, agent Charles Misuraca of SLASH Sports told Sportando.

Thomas, 28, spent the 2020-21 season in the VTB League, where he averaged 10.9 points and 4.1 rebounds per game for BC Astana. He has also had stints in Italy, Turkey, Germany, France, and Mexico during his career overseas.

Thomas has played in six NBA games with Orlando and Philadelphia back in 2014.

Baskonia reportedly interested in Bismack Biyombo

According to Diario de Noticias de Alava, Baskonia is targeting Bismack Biyombo to improve the frontcourt.

The Congolese center has played the last 10 seasons in the NBA, with career averages of 5.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.

Biyombo could replace Landry Nnoko, who is likely to leave after not playing yesterday’s game against Gran Canaria.

Brandon Garrett, Egis Kormend part ways

PF/C Brandon Garrett and Hungarian club Egis Kormend have parted ways. He was added to the team as an injury replacement for two months and became a free agent after turning down an extension for the rest of the season.

Garrett averaged 16.8 points and 7.4 rebounds in nine appearances for Kormend, including a 15-point, 14-rebound double-double in his last game Saturday.

He has also played in Spain, Iceland, Switzerland and Portugal during his career in Europe.

Devonte Green joins Larissa

Larissa announced the agreement signed with Devonte Green.

The Indiana product last year scored over 15 points (42% 3P) per game in the Greece league with Charilaos Trikoupis..

Donte Thomas returns to Donar

Donte Thomas returns to Donar, where he played in the 2019-2020 season.
After Groningen he played for Cantù (7 ppg, 4.5 rpg) in Italy, and this summer he signed with Alaba Fehervar in Hungary, but his contract expired in August.
