Rick Pitino wants Vassilis Spanoulis to be leader of Greek NT

Greek national team head coach Rick Pitino said he wants Vassilis Spanoulis on his squad.

“He is very important to me, I want him to lead this team. I’m going to make him an offer he can refuse,” Pitino said.

The 37-year-old Spanoulis hasn’t played for the Greek NT since EuroBasket 2015, but Pitino wants to rely on the EuroLeague legend’s leadership and experience.
