Shake Milton has suffered a fracture to a bone in his left hand and will require surgery, Mozzart Sport reports. The injury occurred in Podgorica during Partizan’s game against Studentski Centar, as per Mozzart Sport.
Milton was injured during a physical play in which he got caught holding an opponent’s jersey, leading to a serious hand injury. Medical examinations confirmed the fracture, which must be treated surgically.
The American guard is expected to be sidelined for at least three months, a timeline that effectively brings his season to an end. Since joining Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade, Milton has struggled to stay healthy, having already missed nearly a month earlier in the season due to another injury.
This latest setback represents a major blow for Partizan, who lose one of their most important offseason signings. With Milton likely unavailable for the remainder of the campaign, questions now arise over whether the club will return to the market in search of a new playmaker.
In the EuroLeague, Milton appeared in 13 games, starting six of them, and averaged 6.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 3.1 assists in 21 minutes per game. He scored in double figures four times, with his best EuroLeague performance coming against Fenerbahçe, posting 13 points and four assists.
In the ABA League, he played just six games, averaging 10.3 points and 2.2 assists. His standout performance came against FMP, when he erupted for 26 points, four rebounds, and five assists.
