Pekovic's condition isn't as serious as previously reported by the Serbian media

Nikola Pekovic’s family says that he’s in stable condition and breathing independently without a respirator, contrary to previous reports from the Serbian website Telegraf.

Pekovic is in a hospital in Podgorica, Montenegro after being infected with the coronavirus.

Pekovic, a EuroLeague champion in 2009 with Panathinaikos, played 271 games in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
