Valencia Basket has agreed to sign North American power forward Nate Sestina (2.05m, Emporium (Pennsylvania), 05/12/1997, 27 years old) for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2026. The player comes from Fenerbahçe Beko Istanbul, a team with which he participated in the Final Four of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and with which he has just been proclaimed champion of the Turkish League. With a more significant weight in the rotation of the yellow and navy blue team in the national competition (9.6 points and 5.1 rebounds for 11.6 PIR), he has played a total of 56 games in the season that has just ended among all competitions with numbers of 5.9 points with 42.2% in 3-points shooting and 2.8 rebounds for a 6,2 PIR.
Before arriving at Fenerbahçe, Sestina played his last year of college at the prestigious University of Kentucky. After a brief stint in the G-League, he has developed his career in Europe between a first experience in Israel and the last three years in Turkey, being a key piece in Turk Telekom Ankara’s 2022-23 campaign, which was runner-up in the EuroCup. Throughout his entire journey in European basketball, he has established himself as a reliable shooter from behind the three-point line, with a 42% efficiency percentage in three-pointers in his professional career.
