Broken carpal bone ends EuroLeague season early

The 2025–26 season continues to go from bad to worse for Partizan Mozzart Bet. During an ABA League game against SC Derby in Podgorica, Shake Milton suffered a serious injury to his left hand.

Head coach Joan Peñarroya immediately confirmed the severity of the injury in his postgame press conference. Initial reports from Serbian media suggested Milton would be sidelined for around three months, effectively ending his EuroLeague season, with hopes of a return only for the ABA League playoffs.

After internal consultations regarding the best recovery approach, Meridian Sport reported that the club concluded surgery was necessary. Medical examinations revealed that Milton fractured a carpal bone in his left hand.

Milton has already traveled to the United States, where he will undergo surgery. A clear rehabilitation plan will be established following the procedure.

Signed this summer as one of Partizan’s two marquee acquisitions, Milton failed to live up to expectations. He averaged 6.7 points, 3.1 assists and 1.7 rebounds per game, hitting just two three-pointers all season while playing 20 minutes per game across only 13 appearances.

Another setback in a campaign that has so far brought little relief for the Belgrade club.
