The Memphis Grizzlies have announced that Ja Morant’s season is over. The star guard has been ruled out for the remainder of the year because of a sprain in the ulnar collateral ligament of his left elbow.
Morant suffered the injury on January 21, in his second game back after a two-week absence caused by calf soreness. Following a recent medical consultation, he was advised to receive a PRP injection to improve ligament healing.
The Grizzlies expect Morant to be ready for the start of the 2026-27 season. Over the last three campaigns, the two-time All-Star has played only 79 total games because of injuries and suspensions.
