Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv seems to be struggling in the summer transfer market, given the living conditions in Israel and the resulting difficulty in convincing players to move there.
Sport5 reported that the Israeli powerhouse is having particular difficulty reaching agreements with top EuroLeague players during this transfer window, given the war the country is facing. This is also evidenced by the rumour about Carsen Edwards, as the club reportedly offered the former Bayern Munich player a richer contract than Virtus Bologna, but this was not enough to get the player’s ‘yes’.
The players are reportedly afraid to decide to live in Israel, given that the club no longer allows players to live outside the country, as was the case in the past with Saben Lee.
