Even in a 120-113 road loss to the Denver Nuggets, LeBron James delivered another historic milestone: he now owns the NBA’s all-time record for made field goals, moving past Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

The moment came with 12.3 seconds left in the first quarter, when James hit a turnaround baseline jumper over Zeke Nnaji for his third make of the game — career make No. 15,838.

“Having my name mentioned with some of the greatest ever has always been humbling — it’s a pretty cool thing,” James said, adding that the fadeaway is “one of my patented shots — something I’ve worked on throughout my career,” dating back to adjustments after the 2011 Finals.
