Kevin Durant remains in serious doubt for Game 2 of the series between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers. According to coach Ime Udoka, Durant completed about half of Monday’s practice and will be a game-time decision for Tuesday’s matchup.
Durant missed Game 1 because of a right knee bruise suffered in practice last Wednesday. Udoka had already said imaging showed no structural damage, but added that Durant’s main issue is still his mobility.
Houston clearly felt his absence in the 107-98 loss to the Lakers in the series opener. During the regular season, the 37-year-old averaged a team-high 26.0 points per game.
For the Rockets, Durant’s possible return could be crucial in a series that already looks pivotal with Houston trying to avoid falling into an 0-2 hole.
